During the Summer of 2016, Seven Hills Games worked with FutureMakers and Maryland State Department of Education to design and run a Viurtal Reality Summer Camp at public libraries in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The unique program provides kids with hands-on experience with virtual reality hardware and game development software through their local library.
“VR Pioneers” ages 7-15 learned the basics of creating 3d worlds in the Unity game engine, and explored their worlds in virtual reality with OSVR HDK virtual reality goggles.
VR Camp consisted of:
– three VR demo events in June.
– three VR Camp events where participants learn the basics of VR development in Unity3d.
– one all-day VR Jam on where participants create a VR game based on a theme.
